Queen Metaria, Queen Beryl and the Shitennō attacked the moon and Queen Serenity's kingdom was destroyed. With Queen Serenity's last ounce of energy, she managed to seal the evil entity. Queen Metaria was left dormant while Queen Beryl guided the Shitennō to collect energy so that one day Queen Metaria could once again be revived to help rule the Dark Kingdom and conquer Earth. Once Metaria awoke from her sleep by the energy of humans, she instructed Queen Beryl to find the Phantom Silver Crystal so that she could be fully revived. Queen Metaria's Dark Energy was also used to corrupt Prince Endymion's mind and body and make him a warrior for the Dark Kingdom. She also became one with Queen Beryl and became Super Beryl. In the final battle between Princess Serenity and the Sailor Soldiers, Queen Metaria and Queen Beryl were defeated by the Silver Crystal's power and the combined planetary energies.
